Tourism Services Museum Services Arts Centre Services Media Services Voluntary Group Services
In 2018, I collaborated with Mid & East Antrim Council on a successful and popular exhibition on the theme of Irish dancing. Services included researching the history, providing a seminar, writing the content, curating items, helping with invitations and promotion.
Arts Centre Services
I provide talks to Arts Centres on a variety of themes, including the history of Irish dancing, Irish literature and Languages in Ulster. I also do readings in conjunction with Women Aloud, a Northern Ireland Writer's Group for women. See more information here.
I have written essays for the Irish Times and Belfast Telegraph. I have also participated in interviews on Radio Ulster. Most recently I presented the history of Irish Dancing on the BBC's Antiques Road Trip.
Historical & Family History Societies
I have visited historical societies not only to introduce the Irish dancing history but also to talk about some of the historical themes of my novels, A Belfast Tale and Snugville Street. I have also been invited to talk about the research behind Waterloo Road, a novel yet to be published, which explores Larne in its tourism heyday.
Voluntary Group services
I have provided writing services to a number of voluntary projects in Mid and East Antrim, most recently the historical panels on the tourism alleyways project and historical timeline for Larne Renovation Generation.
Customised walking tours by author Angeline King around Belfast and Mid & East Antrim, exploring literature, culture and history.
